Dave, I love the montage look of yours.
Gerry, this proves that simple is often best.
Flo, looks like a real wc done on porous paper.

Heres another one- "Maldivian Sunset"
Real watercolour is so unforgiving and brutally exposes bad technique and mistakes but computer watercolours are so tolerant and so satisfying.

I was going thru all my files , looking to post some watercolor paintings. I don't recall what I did with this one but I do know it was done in Photoshop.

I love the colors and feel to this! Not a big fan of the coffee stains on the left side though. They seem out of place with the rest, to me.

Gerry, "Maldivian Sunset" looks soooo much like the real thing it's amazing! :wow:
Diane, these are terrific... love the use of outlining.
Debby, wonderful "bleed into the paper fibers" look! (Must be a better name for that... if so, what do they call it?)
Dave, great job with SA!
Flo, both the votive candle and the landscape do look like watercolors. I love the shading on the candle holder... perfect!

I like your use of a limited colour palette .

BTW , about the writting , do you know the meaning or is it just random .... ?

I've heard the word and have my own mind's eye definition for it Flo (which I used Paint Engine's @Wetter2 preset to achieve). Still experimenting with a simplification process for the bulk of the watercolor. Too convoluted for even me to explain though. Involves 2-bit dithering and feeding that result into G'MIC's Comic preset which turns the dither to brushstrokes. :)

Sorry , Lyle , I do not speak good English .
I think you misunderstood me .
What I meant was :

about the red writting ( Chinese caracters ) on the left side of the image
does it mean something in pecular for you , or is it just for decoration.

Sorry again .
My sentences are a bit awkward and clumsy sometimes ...

And thank you for all the details about your work ; that was interesting :)

No; just stol..uh..er..borrowed the message from another image (think it means beautiful). lol

I'm a typical American Flo (i.e., only know how to speak English). lol

Now my Mom knew how to speak Korean (native tongue), some Japanese, and English (much better then Japanese). She learned English enough to pass and become a U.S. Naturalized Citizen. Also was able to pass the Alabama Driver's License in English (took her 7 years total; three years night school). :)
