Maybe our minds are great, in their own way :) Actually, I'm enjoying this time in my life because I've always been ditzy, but now I can blame it on my age!!

Well, perhaps not ALL great minds are alike, but yours and mine sure are! Nice to have you in the club! :silly:

There are some nice ideas displayed here. :D Below is my starting image, which are snowman cannisters that I took outdoors and photographed before I packed them away. (This is actually from 2005) The snowmen sit on my window sill and always make me smile while I'm doing dishes.

Today I created a VD card. The quote is from Leanne Rhimes. This is just the front of the card, not the inside where there is a Happy Valentine's Day message.

Laurie, I love this! I like the idea of snowmen on a valentine, since here it is winter after all. I love that song too.

Linda, I see you found our Vday thread. Great contribution to it!

I was playing around with fractals and ended up with this...was debating whether to put it here or in the fractals thread....There are a lot of really good fractals and this thread has just been revived so I decided to add here...

Really Cool and nice 8)
My favourite is the second one , the heart stands better on a plain background .
Also , I think it would look even better if you replace the black and green by some other matching colours in the palette of red , pink , purple ...

Your idea is excellent , and your style is unique .
I had a look at their site ; you are the only one to use patterns .
Well done , Lyle !

Thanks Flo/Phyllis. I did change my AOP which replaced the black one with something a little better (uploaded at the DAP forum the change). Still not 100% happy and it does take a lot of work to convert the DAP result into something with a little more dimension. Overall, I'm still happy with it. As a side note, I can be coaxed into giving you all some bon-bons too. lol

Thought I should open my safe full of dough and get the ladies something more substantial then Sweathearts.

For the curious, you can get the AOP file here: http://www.mmbforums.com/ipb/index.php? ... ntry142363

Thanks Flo; like your hearts too. Did you do this one manually, or by what filter/program? Just curious. :)

Thanks , Lyle .
I was quite interested by your technique for the little hearts 8) ;
So I DL their new demo (V2) , tried to understand how to make a custom AOP , and made my first one .
You were right , it is a long job ….
Not difficult once you have understand the process , but very very tedious …..
No need to mention I made a lot of trials and errors
